Efva Attling celebrates 30 years as a jewellery designer and to celebrate the occasion we take a closer look at some of her most iconic designs. Learn more about the story behind “Soulmate”, a piece that elevates any look to the next level.
Who is your Soulmate?
Efva draws inspiration for her designs from almost everything she does, sees, and experiences — she describes herself as a true observer of everyday life. “I’m always looking for inspiration. It can come from music I listen to, or architecture that captivates me,” Efva explains. “I’m definitely inspired by fashion, but perhaps most of all by people.” A personal favourite is the bold silver ring, Soulmate.
For Soulmate, a new way of working was introduced, with the form first shaped in modelling clay. It is crafted as a solid piece of silver — substantial, yet soft at the same time. A Soulmate moment happens when two people meet and something simply falls into place. Jewellery that carries the idea of connection — of finding your person, whether a partner, a friend, or even a beloved pet.
